Feudal Echoes
Feudal Echoes is a dark medieval resource management and survival game. You are the lord of a decaying fiefdom, tasked with an impossible burden: keep your people alive, pay your mercenaries, and survive the relentless passage of time.
Every decision hurts. Will you spend your last gold coins on food for your starving serfs, or on repairing the weapons of the mercenaries protecting them?
⚔️ Key Features
- Unforgiving Economy: Balance the 5 pillars of your realm: Gold, Food, Prestige, Population, and Notoriety. Bankruptcy or starvation for 3 consecutive days means permanent Game Over.
- Tactical Mercenary Combat: Hire Warriors, Archers, and Rogues. Rank them up from Recruits to Legends, and master the positioning system. Put an archer in the Vanguard and they will be slaughtered; put a Rogue in the Rearguard behind a Warrior to trigger devastating sneak attacks.
- Base Building: Develop your fiefdom on a 4x4 grid. Upgrade buildings up to Tier 3 to survive. Build a Granary to ration food, a Tavern to attract veteran sellswords, or a Forge to repair decaying equipment.
- Dynamic Market: Trade your resources, but beware: the world is alive. Droughts, plagues, wars, and bountiful harvests will drastically alter prices and merchant funds.
- Roguelite Meta-Progression: Death is inevitable, but not the end. Convert your final score into Lineage Points at the Ancestor Sanctuary to unlock permanent blessings (like the Fallen King's Decree or War Scars) for your next playthrough.

Could be good, but Population doesn't grow no matter how much food you're making per round, gold is impossible to maintain in the long run due to no population growth for taxes. Then if your mercs die, it's impossible to replace them without the gold, so it's just game over. Also several times, i'd get item drops from battles, but would never get the chance to loot them.
Having the merchant with almost no gold to buy your wares is also really bad. I sell 5 wood then he's broke forever.
Hi GMVS.
Thank you so much for playing and for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback! This is incredibly helpful for me to balance the game.
Regarding Population & Gold: I will definitely take a look at this. Population is supposed to scale based on several factors to keep your taxes flowing and your mercenaries paid. If it's completely stuck despite having enough food, there might be a bug under the hood that I need to fix.
About the Battle Drops: There is actually a background mechanic where getting too many duplicate items of the same rarity automatically merges/upgrades them into a higher rarity drop (normal to rare, rare to epic). However, it sounds like this mechanic might be causing a visual conflict or a bug that prevents you from looting at all. If you happen to remember any more details about exactly when or how this happened, it would be fantastic if you could share them!
As for the Merchant: His gold pool is designed to regenerate every few days. That being said, I totally understand that draining his pockets after selling just a few pieces of wood feels restrictive. I will definitely review his economy balance.
Thanks again for helping me improve the game!
One more things, ítems such as materials, food, and gold will be added automatically. Any chance you're talking about those items?
I like where you're going with this, but I feel like I might be blind or something. I can't find a way to recruit more mercenaries.
Hi bearhecker!
Haha, don't worry, you are not blind!
To recruit more mercenaries, you first need to build a Tavern. Once it's built, the list of available candidates will appear there.
Got it! Thanks for the tip!
Thank you for playing!
